Tarraxo music: what does it sound like?

Tarraxo music is slow and heavy. The bass and the percussion carry the song, the melody stays in the background, and the space between the hits matters as much as the hits themselves. That space is what the dancers play with: a pause, a suspended weight, a slow release.

Today, many producers mix Tarraxo with Afrobeats, Afro-pop and R&B textures. Dawou Tarraxo produces in that spirit: 31 releases since 2024, a new single almost every month, often with YnG Cole and Ky Sheny, and the albums Between Two Worlds and Velvet Danger. You can play a preview of every track on the music page.
