Connection without force

If you need force, the connection is already lost.

For dancersBy Dawou Tarraxo

  1. Connection is not a stronger grip.
  2. It is clear information travelling through contact.
  3. Pressure should propose · not impose.
  4. A tense body cannot listen clearly.
  5. Soften the unnecessary tension. Keep the intention.
  6. Self-check: can your partner understand you without being pushed?
  7. Clear touch creates freedom for both dancers.

Connection in Kizomba is not a stronger grip.

Connection is not a stronger grip. It is clear information travelling through contact. Pressure should propose, never impose, and a tense body cannot listen.

Try this in your next dance. Soften every bit of tension you do not need, and keep only the intention. Then ask yourself one question: can your partner still understand you without being pushed?

Clear touch creates freedom for both dancers. That is the whole point.

Clear touch is the whole basis of Kizomba and Tarraxo connection.
